Normal phenomenon of pregnancy is when fertilized egg attached to the uterus but in ectopic pregnancy fertilized egg may attaches to the uterus, fallopian tube or cervix. Women who previously had ectopic pregnancy are at higher risk of getting it again or those who had previous pelvic surgery, Pelvic Inflammatory Diseases (PID), or endometriosis. It can be detected by the level of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG).
