Some pregnant women suffer from morning sickness but less than 3% of pregnant women suffers from Hyperemesis gravidarum which is severe condition than the morning sickness. Women suffer with this complication vomits several times in a day which leads to dehydration, ketosis and weight loss. There is no cure, but it is manageable. It gets better during 20th week of pregnancy but sometimes may last to entire duration of pregnancy. Symptoms includes loss of 5% or more body weight, nutritional imbalance, dehydration, constipation and presence of ketones in the urine. Treatment depends upon the symptoms of the patients which includes balanced diet and drinking a lot of fluids.
